Metal coatings to prevent rust in our product line include, but are not limited to the following:
HIB L50: Is a concentrated blend of organic inhibitors and biodegradable surfactants. HIB L50 is designed for use as an inhibitor in sulfuric, hydrochloric, phosphoric, or hydrofluoric acid pickling baths up to an operating temperature of 210F. This inhibitor will increase the speed of scale removal from all grades of steel while still providing over 99% protection to base metal.
VANINHIB: VANINHIB is a water-based, short-term, inorganic, corrosion preventative that forms a thin alkaline film on the parts. VANIHIB contains no oils, no triethanolamine, no soaps and no chlorinated or aromatic solvents.
VANINHIB TR: VANINHIB TR is a water-based, short-term, indoor, organic corrosion preventative that forms a thin, transparent film on the parts. VANINHIB TR contains no oils, no octylphenol or nonylphenol ethoxylates, no soaps and no chlorinated or aromatic solvents. VANINHIB TR is used with water at concentrations between 1 to 2 % for short-term rust protection of 1 to 2 months.
VANGUARD 22: VANGUARD 22 is a combination cleaner-corrosion preventative that forms a water emulsion for use on base metals and phosphated surfaces. It is a concentrated oil base material, which readily mixes at use concentrations in water and leaves a non-drying film that is less evident on phosphated surfaces. At higher concentrations, it will clean stamping and mill oils from the surface before laying down a thin protective film of oil. VANGUARD 22 is normally used with water at concentrations between 5% and 30% by volume depending on the degree of protection desired. On suitably phosphatized surfaces, salt spray resistance of 72 hours is assured. Operating temperature should range between 120F – 180F. For immersion systems, a minimum of one minute is required on heavy phosphated parts. More time may be required to clean parts that are not phosphated.
