VANTAK WB SYSTEM

The VANTAK WB SYSTEM is a four-component system: a coagulant, a flocculant, a new and unique defoamer, and a biocide. This new chemical system works in an interconnected manner to systematically remove solids from recirculated water and generate a dry cohesive dewatered sludge without the unpleasant smell typically associated with waterborne paint detackification. Waterborne paint has an innate predisposition to disperse in recirculated water, but our new technology works at the molecular level to crack the emulsion for proper removal of dissolved solids.
VANTAK WB is a special blend of inorganic and organic coagulants specifically formulated for difficult waterborne paint systems. VANTAK WB reacts with high foaming emulsifying surfactants (used for flow control in waterborne paints) which aids in charge neutralization (coagulation) step. The coagulation step generates micro-floc particles by reacting with dissolved paint particles in the re-circulated water.
VANFLOC 37-1 is new type of anionic polymer not historically used in detack systems. Its unique charge density and functional group distribution increases the sweeping action or bridging of the micro-flocs to form large floating floc-particles that aggregate into an easily de-waterable sludge mat or blanket.
DEFOAMER 2000 is a new type of emulsifiable defoamer that works at the molecular level. Most defoamers work by floating at the water surface by decreasing the surface tension and ultimately collapsing bubbles or foam blanket. The ineffectiveness of that type of defoamer technology results in constant replenishment and high cost. Only a small amount of DEFOAMER 2000 is required. More importantly, it works in conjunction with our coagulant VANTAK WB. This prevents large volumes of surfactant from building up in the re-circulated water and reduces the need for continual bleeding. This increases the lifetime of the pit water.
PITFRESH 2000 or ALGEX SL is the biocide of choice. You begin with ALGEX SL and if necessary switch to PITFRESH 2000. Rotation of biocide may not be needed; ALGEX SL will keep bacteriological activity to less than 10,000 colonies (considered little) with small regular additions. It should be said that biological activity of over 1,000,000 produces obnoxious odour and colonies over 10,000,000 become a health hazard to workers in the area. Some pits not using VANTAK WB SYSTEM have colony growth over ten million.
