PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
VANGUARD 22 is a corrosion preventive compound designed for use in water emulsions on base metals or phosphatized surfaces. VANGUARD is a concentrated oil base material that readily mixes at use concentrations in water and leaves a non-drying film that is less evident on phosphated surfaces. VANGUARD 22 is normally used with water at concentrations between 5% and 30% by volume depending on the degree of protection desired. On suitably phosphatized surfaces, a minimum of 72 hours of salt spray resistance is guaranteed. The temperature can range between 120oF - 180oF for spray or immersion systems, the residence time for heavily phosphated parts should be at least 1 minute for immersion and 20 seconds for spray.
